Baby, when
I saw you kiss her,
I saw
sunrises in irises.
Love meant compromises,
but I knew
you wouldn’t sacrifice
this one,
‘cause this was
the real woman
you had been waiting for,
the crowned queen
you could adorn
with candle lights
and kissed floors,
and rose showers
behind closed doors,
left
unlocked unconditionally
for a trusting wife
and a loving family
living
happily-ever-after,
recapturin’
Mad-Hatter-shattered dreams,
and aphrodisiac fenine
for some
Mind Sex
and hot herbal green tea.
Bare-flesh-carressin’,
apexin’
‘til the stars
start shootin’
another moon
into the sky.
When
I saw you kiss her,
I saw her eyes
joyfully cryin’,
but this time,
she wasn’t
Mona-Lisa-smilin’.
Oh no,
‘cause this time,
lies weren’t recited.
Your surprises
constantly reminded her
of echo-janglin’ Keys
and Ansel Adams scenes
finally
hung up
on white walls.
Shadows Lounge
and water falls,
so when
I saw you kiss her,
I saw Hennessy
chasin’ you into river currents
over old, yellow bridges,
and the T.I.
fire flyin’
in the Golden Gate distance.
I saw her
learnin’ Salmon Soup
and you
Pro-Tools-loopin’
in your home studio
with Mulan and Adonis.
I saw
promises bein’ kept
and
challenges bein’ met.
When
I saw you kiss her,
it was like
you were
the sun, sea, sky, and earth
to her,
‘cause she was
truly honored to give birth
and sport stretch marks
for your planned universe.
And when
I saw you kiss her,
I saw you and her
on first—class honeymoon cruises
and exotic vacations.
I saw
a Marketing B.A.,
Real Estate License,
and a Series 7 education.
I saw
Holy Baptisms
and birthdays
and high school graduations.
“Congratulations!
It’s a boy!”
Baby, I saw
your grandson.
And I watched you
dancin’
with him on New Year’s.
And I saw
your moma
sheddin’ tears
as she moved in
to her new home…
‘Cause when
I saw you kiss her,
I heard
church bells ringin’
and saw
Tiffany diamond
engagement stones.
And I saw you,
Armani suited,
just waitin’ for her
by the altar.
And I heard
whispered blessings
from my father,
since I was
his only daughter—
But baby, when
I saw you kiss her,
I knew
he was proud to
let me go.

“I Saw You Her” « RiZeN: (noun) the RESURRECTION of A WRiTTEN
i must confess i liked the concept of your writting! but i got lost reading it … is it a poem or a discription …. if a poem its just too long anf if a discription … then if u’d put them in sentences … i’ll look beautiful.
All the best!
